Enjoy the bounties of the Pram Garden! Our summer vegetables are off and growing. The lettuce has produced a healthy bounty so please be sure to pick. Just remember to pick from the outside of the head, as low to the soil as possible and the lettuce will keep producing. There are also some red and golden beets to harvest! Don’t forget to peek to see if there is a strawberry or two for tasting…kids love strawberries. Soon there will be red onions and zucchini. Take the time to look around, teach your children what is growing or even picnic around the garden.
Also, we are seeking one local PRAM resident who is interested in joining the Garden Committee. No green thumb required, just an interest in gardening. Duties would include watering, general maintenance, planning workshops, garden fund-raising activities, and planning PRAM’s Garden Festival. If you are interested, email Stacy Flagerman at sflagerman@sbcglobal.net.
